Henry is the youngest child of Domingo Santos, a Science Fiction author. As a young child, Santos was already greatly interested in music. Aged 14, he moved with his family to New York, where he continued to develop his musical skills. He joined a band called Los Teenagers with his cousin Anthony, and the group later morphed into Aventura. Henry attended the Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music from which he graduated in 2008. In 2009, Henry was romantically linked with Hayley Nazalia, a girl whom he met in an interview with Gabby Goes Ha. Hayley and Henry married on April 4, 2010. Almost 1 year later, on April 3, 2011, Hayley gave birth to their first child, a girl they named Shane Heart Santos. In September 2011, it was revealed that Henry had filed for divorce and Hayley had received full custody of their daughter Shane.
Henry's position in Aventura was to be the back up singer, songwriter and producer for the band. He and Romeo Santos have written several hits for the band. Henry is also considered the group's comedian, delighting the audience with spontaneous antics on stage. He is also a business person pursuing many projects. He also hosted a fictional radio station called San Juan sounds in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Henry predominantly became more well known as "Henryy" with two Y's during his period with Aventura.
In 2011 Henry debuted as a solo artist with the single "Poquito a poquito." His debut album Introducing Henry Santos debuted at #2 on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart.[2]
